Four School of Business Faculty receive McGraw-Hill Distinguished Research Award

DURANT, Okla. – Four faculty members in the John Massey School of Business at Southeastern Oklahoma State University — Dr. Robert Stevens, Dr. Lawrence Silver, Dr. Martin Bressler, and Dr. Courtney Kernek – were honored recently.

The professors received the McGraw-Hill Distinguished Research Award at the Federation of Business Disciplines 45th annual conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The award is sponsored each year by McGraw-Hill Higher Education. McGraw-Hill Education is an American learning science company educational publisher that provides customized educational content, software, and services for pre-K through postgraduate education. The company also provides reference and trade publications for the medical, business, and engineering professions.

The Federation of Business Disciplines serves as the parent organization to 10 academic organizations in various business disciplines, including the Association of Collegiate Marketing Educators, the American Accounting Association, the Association for Business Communication, the Association for Business Information Systems, the Decision Sciences Institute, the Southwest Academy of Management, the Southwest Case Research Association, the Southwestern Finance Association, the Southwestern Society of Economists and the Association for Small Business & Entrepreneurship.

The John Massey School of Business faculty members received the award from the Southwest Case Research Association for the outstanding teaching case.

Stevens is Professor of Management and the John Massey Endowed Chair in Business Administration, Silver is Professor of Marketing and the John Massey Endowed Chair in Marketing, Bressler is Professor of Marketing & Management and the John Massey Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship, and Kernek is Associate Professor of Marketing.
