DURANT, Okla. – The Frisson Ensemble from New York City will perform in concert on Wednesday, November 7, on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The concert, part of the Musical Arts Series, will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the Halle McKinney Ballroom due to renovations in the Fine Arts Building. There is no admission fee.

The group features the best and brightest of classical music’s rising stars drawn from many of the nation’s major music schools, including Juilliard, Curtis, and Yale.

Frisson’s core instrumentation of nine musicians consists of violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn. The ensemble showcases a myriad of rarely-performed masterworks and has rapidly become  one of the busiest classical music ensembles with dozens of performances for the 2018-19 season.

This concert is the second performance of the 45th season of the Musical Arts Series and is sponsored in part by the Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
