Southeastern recognizes outstanding faculty, staff and retirees at event

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s annual Faculty and Staff Recognition Celebration was held Monday in the Fine Arts Recital Hall.

The event honors retirees and employees for years of service. In addition, awards are presented by the Faculty Senate and Staff Association.

Following is the list of retirees, with years of service:

Dr. Gleny Beach, professor /director of visual arts in art, communication &theatre, 23 years; Dr. Theresa Hrncir, professor of accounting & finance, 21 years; Dr. Margaret Avard, professor of chemistry, computer & physical sciences, 20 years; and Dr. Vivian Guarnera, associate professor/chair of Educational instruction & leadership, 20 years.

Also, Dr. Charles Marshall, associate professor of aviation sciences institute, 13 years; Linda McGehee, custodian, custodial services, 12 years; Dr. Reba Criswell, Associate Professor of Counseling/School Counseling Program Coordinator

Behavioral Sciences, 11 years; Dr. George Stevenson Smith, professor of accounting & finance, 11 years; Sandy Bumgarner, office assistant academic programs in art, communication & theatre, 9 years; and Dr. Robin Plumb, dean & director of Educational outreach, 7 years.
