DURANT, Okla. – The School of Education & Behavioral Sciences did its part in observing homecoming last week at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

The school’s first-ever “Alumni In The Classroom” project featured former students returning to campus Monday and Tuesday to teach a variety of classes. The alumni also shared real-life career stories while interacting with students.

“This was an even bigger success than we had anticipated,” said Dean Will Mawer. “The quality of participating alumni was outstanding, and our students benefited greatly from the experience. The idea was well received by both alumni and students, and it was a great way to reach our goal of increased contact with alumni. We will definitely do this again next year.”

A total of 26 alumni and 24 faculty members participated in the event from the Department of Behavioral Sciences, Department of Educational Instruction and Leadership, and Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
