Congressman Mullin visits Southeastern

DURANT, Okla. –  U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin made a stop on the Southeastern campus Wednesday morning during a trip to Durant. Congressman Mullin visited with students, faculty and staff in the Hallie McKinney Ballroom.

econDURANT, Okla. – The Foundation for Economic Prosperity held a regulatory reform roundtable discussion Thursday at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Among those gathering before the event were Southeastern president Sean Burrage, State Senator Josh Brecheen, State Senator Ron Sharp, U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin, and Eastern Oklahoma State College president Stephen Smith.

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Student Government Association and the Savage Storm Leaders erected 168 white stakes with blue ribbons and the names of the individuals who lost their lives in the Murrah Federal Building bombing on April 19, 1995.

Southeastern joined the Oklahoma Standard initiative, which has been defined as a new level of caring, on the 20th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing.

The display, set up on the front lawn of the campus, replicates the Field of Empty Chairs at the Oklahoma City National Memorial.

The congressman toured the Native American Center for Student Success, attended a reception, and then participated in a question-and-answer session with President Burrage and the campus community.
