BrucePac donates refrigerated truck to University

Ice Truck DonationDURANT, Okla. – BrucePac of Durant recently donated a refrigerated truck to Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Showing their appreciation to Cliff Eddings (Inventory Control Manager) and Bob Delveaux (general manager) of Bruce Pac are Southeastern president Sean Burrage and vice president for university advancement Dr. Kyle Stafford.  Previously, BrucePac allowed the University to use the truck at various events throughout the year, such as homecoming and the Presidential Golf Classic.  Most recently, the truck has been utilized by the athletic department to store ice used for post-practice therapy on student athletes. In addition, to donating the truck, BrucePac added Southeastern’s university and athletic logos.

Presidential Golf Classic scheduled for June 10 at Chickasaw Pointe

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s annual Presidential Golf Classic is scheduled for Friday, June 10, at Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club on Lake Texoma.

The Presidential Golf Classic is an annual fundraising event to support the Southeastern Foundation and the University.

Entry fee is $150 per player and includes a registration gift, greens fee, cart, food and drinks.

Golfers may enter as a team or individually. Prizes will be awarded to first-, second-and third-place teams. Winning team names will be added to the President’s Cup trophy.

There will be contests for Closest-to-the-Pin and Longest Drive.

Registration and the practice range will be open at 7:30 a.m. with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and the shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. A post-tournament buffet will be served at approximately 2-3 p.m.

Golfers may obtain registration information online at www.SE.edu/foundation/PGC. Registration forms and payment may be mailed to Presidential Golf Classic, Southeastern Foundation, 1405 N. 4th Avenue, PMB 4187, Durant, Okla., 74701-0609.

Several levels of sponsorship are available, from $100 to $3,500 for a Platinum sponsorship, which includes two teams of six players and Platinum amenities.

Gold sponsorship ($2,500), Silver ($2,000) and Bronze ($1,500) include one team of six players and accompanying amenities.

Team sponsorship ($1,000) includes one team of six players. Tournament sponsor ($500) includes one regular registration. The Hole sponsorship ($100) includes signage at a hole.

Presidential Golf Classic results

DURANT, Okla. – Roma Italian Restaurant carded a hot 50 to win Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s 16th-annual Presidential Golf Classic on a warm June 14 at Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club. Attorney-at-Law Brett Morton’s team finished second, with Salita’s Mexican Restaurant taking third place. Morton’s team also shot a 50 and Salita’s scored 51. The results were determined by a card playoff. Longest Drive went to Pam Young and Justin Brown. Kelsey Hanebaum and Mac Hamilton won  Closest to the Hole honors. Presidential Golf Classic set for June 14 at Chickasaw Pointe

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s 16th-annual Presidential Golf Classic will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, at Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club.

Some 140 golfers from around Oklahoma and surrounding states will enjoy a day of golf on a beautiful, well-maintained course overlooking Lake Texoma.

Many golfers are multi-year players who enjoy good times, good food, good competition and good fellowship and keep this event on their calendars.

The six-person scramble starts with registration at 7:30 a.m. when the practice range opens. A continental breakfast will available at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start will get the action under way at 8:30 a.m.

The tournament fee is $125 per player and includes a registration gift, chances for hole-in-one prizes, green fees, cart, food and drinks.

There is also breakfast, lunch served on the course and the post-tournament meal immediately following the golf at approximately 2 p.m.  The meal will feature the awards ceremony and conclude the festivities.

Prizes will be awarded to 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place teams, and names of the winning team’s members will be added to the President’s Cup trophy.

There are also prizes for Closest-to-the-Hole and Longest Drive for both men and women.

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s prestigious Presidential Golf Classic is scheduled for Friday, June 8, at beautiful Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club.

The 6-player scramble draws golfers from all across Oklahoma and neighboring states. This is the annual major fundraiser to support the Southeastern Foundation, Inc. and Southeastern.

The 15th annual Classic will feature an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start with registration and the practice range opening at 7:30.

A continental breakfast will be available at 8 a.m. and the awards ceremony will be held immediately following play.

The Classic can handle 144 players or 24 six-person teams. There are 18 teams registered with several teams ready to sign on the dotted line.

Golfers without a team are welcome to sign up and be assigned to a group.

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s 2011 Presidential Golf Classic is only three weeks away.

The event is held at gorgeous Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club on Lake Texoma and is the major fundraiser for the Southeastern Foundation.

The 14th annual Presidential Golf Classic is scheduled for Friday, June 10, and registration is limited to the first 26 six-player teams or 156 players. Those without a team may sign up individually and be placed on a team.

The Presidential Classic is among the more prestigious golf tournaments in the state and annually attracts participants from across Oklahoma and neighboring states.

It’s a fun day with great golf for a great cause. Proceeds support the Southeastern Foundation and student scholarships.

There are seven levels of sponsorship. The top level is Platinum Sponsorship ($3,500) that includes two teams of six players and Platinum amenities.

Other levels are Gold ($2,500), Silver ($2,000), Bronze ($1,500), Team ($1,000), Tournament ($500), and Hole Sponsor ($100).
