Faculty member contributes to School Law publication

Dr. Stewart Mayers

DURANT, Okla. – Dr. Stewart Mayers, a faculty member at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, is now a member of the writing staff for the “School Law Reporter” (SLR), the flagship publication of the Education Law Association.

SLR is published each month and is distributed nationwide to school administrators (both PK-12 and higher ed), professors of school law, and attorneys. The publication is a digest of summaries of all recent court decisions from the federal court system as well as the 50 state court systems.

Mayers, an associate professor in the Department of Educational Instruction and Leadership, is currently writing on cases from a variety of federal courts.

SLR represents the work of many of the top education law scholars across the country.

Mayers joined the Southeastern faculty in 2001. He earned his Ed.D. at the University of Georgia.
