University Singers set concert for Nov. 15

DURANT, Okla. – The University Singers of Southeastern Oklahoma State University will present a Fall Concert on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Recital Hall. This concert is free and open to the public.

Jeremy Blackwood, Director of University Singers, said: “Our programming for this concert will feature a mix of sacred and secular repertoire. Since this is an ensemble that is made up of both music majors and non-music majors, I try to include varying styles of music.”

Repertoire includes Come, Come Ye Sons of Art by Henri Purcell, So ben mi ch’a bon tempo by Orazio Vecchi, O God of Love, O King of Peace by Dale Grotenhuis, selections from the Brahms Liebeslieder Walzer and more.

Students performing include Kevin Anastasio, Lone Grove, OK; Brittney Bailey, McAlester, OK; Jordan Brown, Valley View, TX; Madelyn Buck, Kingston, OK; Jessica Carey, Marietta, OK; Jessica Carlon, Lexington, OK; Victoria Cook, Durant, OK; Trevor Foster, McAlester, OK; Micah Glass, Bonham, TX; Aaron Gordon, Cedar Hill, TX; Sierra Haney, Durant, OK; Melissa Haworth-Cox, Pottsboro, TX; Jed Hensley, Denison, TX; Alaina Highfill, Durant, OK; Domanick Hubbard, Gainesville, TX; Keiunta Jones, Paris, TX; Jeremiah Light, Lone Grove, OK; Kerrie Lowry, Durant, OK; Kristen Morgan, Mead, OK; Brandon Offield, Ardmore, OK; Jason Oss, Mead, OK; Slader Pair, Durant, OK; Jennifer Roberts, Antlers, OK; Mindamora Rocha, Gainesville, TX; and Kristal Wharry, Idabel, OK.

Drs. Mary Ann Craige and Robert McFadden, Professors of Piano at Southeastern, will serve as accompanists for this concert.
