Dr. Chris W. Bradshaw graduated from Hardin Simmons University in 1977 with a degree in Medical Technology. In 1978 he attended the IMCO school for drilling fluid engineers in Houston, TX and worked the next 7 years in the oil field as a “mud man”. After the oil field began to play out in 1986 he hired on with Texoma Peanut Company and helped created their safety department, taking care of safety compliance, environmental compliance, workers compensation, and purchasing parts and equipment. While employed by Texoma Peanut Company he started working on a Masters degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and graduated in 1997 with a Masters of Science in Industrial Hygiene. In 1998 he became part of the SOSU family in the Department of Occupational Safety and Health as an instructor in Industrial Hygiene and Hazardous Materials Management.
He began working on his doctorial through Texas A & M at Commerce in Secondary Higher Education in 2000. Through the years he has continued to worked in the medical field as a part time Medical Technologist, as a consultant, and as an environmental auditor. He is certified by the State of Oklahoma as a pesticide applicator, by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist as a Medical Technologist, by the National Registry of Environmental Professionals as a Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA), and by the Board of Environmental Auditor Certifications as a Certified Professional Environmental, Health and Safety Auditor (CPEA).
His wife, Linda, of 30 years is also a Registered Medical Technologist and works for Mercy Memorial Hospital of Southern Oklahoma. His daughter, Kelly, graduated from OSU with a B.S. in Biochemistry / Molecular Biology and teaches Science for the Madill Middle School along with her Husband, Kyle Goff, also a graduate of OSU and teaches Math and Ag Science. His son, Cody, attends ECU pursuing a degree in Criminology.
Dr. Bradshaw’s hobbies include raising Registered Texas Longhorn cattle, playing guitar, camping and horseback riding with his wife, working with youth at Church (where he serves as a Deacon) and through 4-H. Lastly, his extra time is spent running a business with his son called C&C Pest Control and Inspection Services LLC, which serves the surrounding area.
