NATIONAL ASSE SCHOLARSHIPS ANNOUNCED

The Southeastern Oklahoma State University Department of Occupational Safety & Health is pleased to announce the awarding of four national scholarships to Southeastern students from the American Society of Safety Engineers Foundation.

  • Applications International Corporation Scholarship
    Recipient: Curtis Lusk
    Amount: $2,500
  • ISNetworld Scholarship
    Recipient: Cory J. Willingham
    Amount: $1,000
  • Permian Basin Chapter Endowment
    Recipient: Stacy Williams
    Amount: $1,000
  • Southwest Chapter Roy Kinslow Scholarship
    Recipient: Blake Gentry
    Amount: $1,000

ASSE Awards Scholarships

The 2011 ASSE James "Skipper" Kendrick Scholarship was awarded to Brittney Newton at the OSH Industry Advisory Board meeting held Thursday, March 4th at Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Department of Occupational Safety and Health. Newton is a second degree occupational safety & health student from Farmersville, Texas.

The 2011 ASSE Fort Worth Professional Chapter Scholarship was awarded to Corey Darr at the OSH Industry Advisory Board meeting held Thursday, March 4th at Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Department of Occupational Safety and Health. Darr is a senior occupational safety & health student from Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

Oklahoma Safety Council Scholarship presented to Southeastern Oklahoma State University Occupational Safety & Health student William Birdsong. The check was present by Mr. Dave Koeneke, Executive Director
