Spring 2013 Commencement

The following is information regarding participation in the Spring 2013 Commencement Ceremony.

Rehearsal

Commencement Rehearsal will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Rehearsal will be held in the Bloomer Sullivan Arena..

Ceremony

Good Weather Plan
Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. on Paul Laird Field.

Bad Weather Plan
In the event of inclement weather, commencement will be held in the Bloomer Sullivan Arena. Since seating is limited in the arena, there will be two ceremonies by degrees:

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
School of Arts and Sciences
Master of Science (Occ Safety & Hlth)
Master of Technology)

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
School of Education and Behavioral Sciences
John Massey School of Business
Master of Arts (Clinical Mental Hlth Couns)
Master of Arts (Teaching)
Master of Business Administration
Master of Education
Master of Science (Aerospace)
Master of Science (Sports Studies)

In case of bad weather, the decision concerning the location will be made by noon on Friday, May 10th, and posted on the Southeastern website and Blackboard (for those on the graduation list).

Reception

A reception honoring graduates and their families will be held in the Visual and Performing Arts Center from 11:30 a.m. to approx. 1:00 p.m.

Special Accommodations

If you or a family member requires special accommodations due to a disability, please contact the Office for Student Affairs at 580-745-2368. Advance notice is required for some accommodations such as sign language interpreters.

Graduation Regalia and Supplies

You may contact the Campus Book Store regarding the purchase of graduation announcements, name cards, cap and gown and other graduation items. For more information, call 580-745-2960.

Transcripts and Diplomas

Degrees are only conferred when all requirements for graduation are complete regardless of participation or "walking" in the Commencement Ceremony. Transcripts with degrees will be available approximately one week after the end of the semester. Diplomas will be mailed to your permanent address approximately eight (8) weeks after the end of the semester. Changes in your permanent address may be submitted in the Registrar's Office or via Campus Connect. Transcripts and diplomas will not be released if you have a hold on your records (ex: financial, transcript, etc).
