They learn media production techniques to be successful in the rapidly changing media environment. Students explore topics in audio and video production, multimedia journalism, social media, and online video production. The broadcasting emphasis equips students with the confidence, critical thinking, and production skills you need to communicate effectively in the fast-paced media environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program Outcomes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Alumni from Southeastern\u2019s Broadcasting program have joined local and regional radio and television stations. Others have joined top graduate programs in media studies or other communication-related graduate programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Broadcasting Emphasis (351) (15 Semester Hours)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>COMM 2573 Audio Production<br>COMM 3573 Video Production<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nine elective hours at the broadcast advisor\u2019s<\/strong><br><strong>recommendation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A minimum of two semesters as either a paid staff<\/strong><br><strong>member or a volunteer at the campus radio station.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the Broadcasting emphasis, students study writing and reporting for radio, television, and the internet.
