Once a student is admitted to Southeastern and completes College Placement Testing (if required), the academic advisors work with undergraduate students to identify academic options, choose appropriate academic strategies and recognize barriers to academic success.<\/p>\n<p>In the Academic Advisement Center students learn how to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Explore interests and goals related to choosing a major, classes and a career<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate external factors that influence academic performance<\/li>\n<li>Meet the general education requirements<\/li>\n<li>Establish a schedule that maximizes the chances of success<\/li>\n<li>Find information about all of the majors at Southeastern<\/li>\n<li>Access on-campus support services<\/li>\n<li>Follow University policies and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"u-color-lighter-blue\">Contact Us<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The quickest way to make an appointment is online.<br \/>\nLocation:\u00a0Hallie McKinney \u2013\u00a0Center for Student Success<br \/>\nFall and Spring Hours: Monday \u2013 Friday 8:00 am \u2013 5:00 pm<br \/>\nSummer Hours: Monday &#8211; Thursday 8:00 am &#8211; 5:00 pm.
