If you are creative, curious, motivated and like to solve problems \u2013 a chemistry major may be for you. Chemistry is currently in an exciting stage of coordinating with many other disciplines to address and find solutions to the critical problems that face our society. Chemists are involved every day in research dealing with agriculture, biology, electronics, energy-fuels, engineering, medicine, materials science, and many other areas. Students need to develop or possess analytical skills, observational skills, critical thinking skills, and curiosity.<\/p>\n<h2>Program Outcomes<\/h2>\n<p>Professional Chemist graduates will be prepared for career opportunities in business, industry, and government, not just in the U.S. but around the globe.
