A scholarship is a financial award given to a student on the basis of academic achievement and promise. Awards are often merit-based, though there are some that consider financial need as well. While scholarships do not have to be repaid, most require academic progress requirements to be maintained, and full-time enrollment (at least 12 hours per semester; can be for Full Term, Term 1, or Term 2, but must be enrolled full-time by Add\/Drop date of the intended semester)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>STEPS TO APPLY<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>To apply for a scholarship, you must be admitted to Southeastern.<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 1.2rem;\"> Click <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.se.edu\/apply\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a> <\/strong>to complete the admissions application.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Apply! Click to complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/se.academicworks.com\/users\/sign_in\">General Scholarship Application .<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Dates to Remember:\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>January 31, 2026 Deadline<\/strong> &#8211; President&#8217;s Leadership Class &amp; Honors Program, John Massey Leadership Scholars Programs (JMLS) Applications are due.<\/li>\n<li><strong>March 1<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Priority Date<\/strong> &#8211; General Scholarship Application due.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1.2rem;\"><strong>Scholarship award notifications are sent to the student&#8217;s Southeastern email in late Spring for upcoming year. <\/strong>Applications received after the priority deadlines may not be considered for all scholarship programs and will be considered only if funds remain available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Southeastern offers many scholarships to help you finance your education.
