{"id":215,"date":"2019-06-10T21:21:30","date_gmt":"2019-06-10T21:21:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.se.edu\/financial-aid\/?page_id=215"},"modified":"2019-06-10T21:23:02","modified_gmt":"2019-06-10T21:23:02","slug":"how-to-apply","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.se.edu\/financial-aid\/how-to-apply\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Apply"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-text-intro\">The Financial aid office at Southeastern Oklahoma State University awards all federal financial aid from information submitted through the FAFSA.\u00a0 Students need to first fill out the FAFSA at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fafsa.ed.gov\/\">www.fafsa.ed.gov<\/a>\u00a0to be considered for federal aid.\u00a0 The following are the typical steps a student would take from starting the FAFSA to receiving aid.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Complete the FAFSA at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fafsa.ed.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.fafsa.ed.gov<\/a>. 00317900 -Southeastern&#8217;s School Code<\/li>\n<li>Check your campus connect at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/campusconnect.se.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/campusconnect.se.edu<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Once you have logged into Campus Connect go to the Student Info drop down box and click the View Financial Aid.<\/li>\n<li>Select the correct year you are interested in.\u00a0 2018-2019 includes the Fall 2018 and spring 2019 semesters.<\/li>\n<li>Once in the correct year every student much check to see what additional documentation you may be required to complete your file.\u00a0 The documents needed will be in red and the documents received will be in green.\u00a0 The list of documents can be found on the right navigation menu.<\/li>\n<li>Turn in all need documents.\u00a0 Some students will be selected to verify their information entered on the FAFSA.\u00a0 This may require you to fill out additional documentation and can also be more or less documentation from year to year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>When all documents needed are received in our office we will verify the information received from the student with the information submitted on the FAFSA.\u00a0 All differences will be confirmed and corrected.\u00a0 At this time we will also look at all previous course work from all institutions to determine if the student is making Satisfactory Academic Progress.\u00a0 The SAP policy can be found at\u00a0<a title=\"http:\/\/www.se.edu\/dept\/financial-aid\/files\/2013\/10\/sap.pdf\" href=\"http:\/\/www.se.edu\/dept\/financial-aid\/files\/2013\/10\/sap.pdf\">http:\/\/www.se.edu\/dept\/financial-aid\/files\/2013\/10\/sap.pdf<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Once the FAFSA is correct and SAP is established we will process the file for awarding for the correct term.\u00a0 The awarding and eligibility process can be found here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.se.edu\/dept\/financial-aid\/awarding-of-title-iv-funds\/\">Awarding of Title IV Funds<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>After all awards are posted, students will need to back to campus connect to accept their awards.\u00a0 Students must agree to the Return to Title IV policy as well as the SAP policy before they are allowed to continue.\u00a0 To accept you awards log on to Campus Connect at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.se.edu\/current-students\/\">http:\/\/www.se.edu\/current-students\/<\/a>.\u00a0 Go to the Student Info tab and down to the Accept\/Decline Aid tab.\u00a0 Once you agree you will be able to accept your awards.\u00a0 All loans have an Up\/Down scroll button to allow students to decrease their loans.<\/li>\n<li>After the awards are accepted, the Pell grant and all Direct Loans will be originated with Common Origination and Disbursement system with the Federal Government.<\/li>\n<li>If all originations are correct, then then the federal awards will be processed\/transmitted to the students account.\u00a0 Information about the business office\u2019s procedures can be found at:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.se.edu\/dept\/business-office\/\">http:\/\/www.se.edu\/dept\/business-office\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The same day the funds are processed to the student\u2019s account the disbursements are sent back to the Common Origination and Disbursement system to process the disbursements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Financial aid office at Southeastern Oklahoma State University awards all federal financial aid from information submitted through the FAFSA.\u00a0 Students need to first fill out the FAFSA at\u00a0www.fafsa.ed.gov\u00a0to be [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"page-templates\/page-with-sidebar.php","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-215","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 -
