Summer and Winter Intersession Housing Application:\u00a0SE Housing Portal<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

INSTRUCTIONS TO REQUEST WINTER INTERSESSION HOUSING<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(The Fall Housing Contract ends at 4pm on Friday of Fall Finals Week.  The Spring Housing Contract begins at 12PM (12 Noon) on Thursday prior to the first day of Spring classes.  Residents are not authorized to remain in the Residence Hall during Winter Intersession Break without prior written authorization from Housing & Residence Life.  This is the process to request that authorization and to agree to related charges.)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open your favorite internet browser and type in\u00a0www.se.edu\/hrl<\/a>.\u00a0 This will bring you to the SE Housing and Residence Life home webpage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scroll down to the middle of the page and select SE Housing Portal.\u00a0 (This is a big blue box with white lettering and a yellow arrow.)\u00a0 Click the link, and you will land on the SE Housing Portal home page.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Log in using the link at the top of the page in the yellow banner. Log in using your regular University credentials (your email address and password).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have logged in, select\u00a0\u201cSummer and Winter Intersession Housing Application<\/strong>\u201d from the yellow banner at the top of the page, then select\u00a0Winter Intersession XX-XX.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select the box indicating that you understand the modified housing policies.\u00a0 (Make sure that you review the policies, including the following:)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.      There is a flat fee for the intersession.  (This fee is waived for students who are approved\/working for HRL, who are participating in Commencement as graduates, performers, or ushers with prior approval, or who are required <\/em>to be on campus for Athletics)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.      The caf\u00e9 and the Magnolia Eatery\/Grill are not open during the intersession. (Einstein Bros. Bagel will be open during posted hours.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.      The intersession housing fee will be charged to your account<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.      There is a \u2018no visitor policy\u2019 during the intersession<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.      Once approved, all housing intersession charges are non-refundable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.      Select your reason to stay from the drop-down list.  If your reason does not coincide with any of the drop downs, select I have another reason that I need to be on campus and explain your reason to stay on campus in the box below it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.      Enter your Student ID Number and select Submit Request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You have now completed the Winter Break Housing Intersession request. You should expect it to take about a week for the approval process, so please<\/strong> submit your request as early as possible.  If approved, you will receive an email authorizing you to remain on campus during the break and reminding you of the expectations of residents during the break.  You should also expect that Housing & Residence Life staff will be entering the room\/suite to conduct Health & Safety inspections, and other required administrative and\/or maintenance tasks during the break.  (HRL Staff may post a sign on your door indicating that you are approved to stay on campus for the winter break.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
