Student IT Help

CampusConnect is a valuable tool for all students. Current students may view their username, email address, and student ID number under the demographic menu.

Information Technology and the Help Desk provide these helpful tips for students:

Student Email Instructions

Upon completion of enrollment, each student is assigned a Southeastern student email address at the beginning of their first semester. The email account can be accessed at https://outlook.office.com/

Upon accessing the Microsoft Email Sign in page, the student must enter his/her user ID in the appropriate input box. The user ID will be comprised in the following manner:
[FIRST INITIAL][LAST NAME][LAST 2 DIGITS OF STUDENTID NUMBER]@student.se.edu Default passwords will be set to the 8 digit birth date [MMDDYYYY].

CampusConnect allows students to login using their SSN or their student ID number. Students may also contact the Registrar’s Office in person to obtain their Student ID number. The new Student ID number will be printed on student schedules, award letters, and billing statements.

Forgot your password?

You now use the same username and password for computer labs, campus WiFi, student email, and Blackboard. If you have forgotten this password, log in to CampusConnect (instructions) and click to change your Change Lab/WiFi/Email/Blackboard Password under the Student Info tab at the top of the page.  Please allow up to an hour for changes to be made to all systems.

Student Mobile Email Setup

Email setup instructions are available for major mobile devices. Click here for instructions.

Computer Login Instructions

The first screen you will see after accessing a Southeastern computer will be the Windows screen, typically the message ‘Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE to log on’. After entering CTRL–ALT–DELETE the “Please Read Before Logging On” window will appear.

Click on “OK” to accept the terms of the Southeastern’s Lab Usage Policy. Links to this policy and the OneNet acceptable use policy are available under the “Favorites Menu” in Internet Explorer on each lab computer. By clicking on “OK”, you agree to be bound by these policies.

Wireless Access Instructions

Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings to connect to a wireless network.

    • Students on the main campus should connect to the SE_Wireless network
    • Student housing residents should connect to the SE_Housing network

Type southeastern (case sensitive) for the Security Key/Password.

A screen will display the Southeastern Wireless Login Page.

    • To connect to the network as a student, you will need to enter your student username and password used to log into campus computer labs into the boxes.
