{"id":523,"date":"2019-11-15T16:44:35","date_gmt":"2019-11-15T16:44:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.se.edu\/international-student\/?page_id=523"},"modified":"2021-07-01T19:28:55","modified_gmt":"2021-07-01T19:28:55","slug":"insurance-for-international-students","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.se.edu\/international-student\/insurance-for-international-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Insurance for International Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>United States Immigration &amp; Customs Enforcement (ICE), Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and Southeastern Oklahoma State University regulations require that international students provide verification of hospitalization insurance.<\/p>\n<p>The hospitalization policy must be for the <strong>entire semester<\/strong> and must include <strong>a minimum Repatriation Benefit of $5000.00<\/strong>. It should include hospital expense, outpatient expense, medical evacuation expense, and accidental death &amp; dismemberment benefits for accident or sickness.<\/p>\n<p>For information regarding hospitalization insurance policies, you can check these sites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student athletes:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gosoutheastern.com\/sports\/2012\/8\/28\/athtrain.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"7\" data-ogsc=\"\">https:\/\/gosoutheastern.com\/sports\/2012\/8\/28\/athtrain.aspx<\/a><\/li>\n<li>All other students:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/isoa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"8\" data-ogsc=\"\">International Student Organization<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalstudentinsurance.com\/student-health-insurance\/?gclid=CjwKCAjw1uiEBhBzEiwAO9B_HS6U2uymSMDPvGY052N6ErNOLnWEGB_2SKsKYPl8az9n3i-prYNWhhoCAPEQAvD_BwE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"9\" data-ogsc=\"\">International Student Insurance<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you elect a private policy, its benefits must be deemed comparable.
