Nursing and Allied Health | RN – BSN

The mission of the nursing program is to prepare nurses in an environment of academic excellence for the dynamic and ever-changing healthcare environment. Through the development of knowledge, skills, habits, and experiences students will reach their highest potential and promote values needed to meet the critical challenges faced by today’s nurses. This is congruent with Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s institutional mission of “Southeastern Oklahoma State University provides an environment of academic excellence that enables students to reach their highest potential. Admission Criteria
RN-BSN Degree requirements
Full Admission
- Graduation from a state-approved associate degree or diploma nursing program
- Current RN license (submitted to Undergraduate Admissions)
- Overall 2.0 GPA with no grade below a “C” in nursing support (upper and lower division) and lower-division nursing courses
Conditional Admission
- Nurses graduating with their ADN may be admitted on the condition that they achieve RN status by the end of their first semester
Additional Requirements
- Additional general education and pre-requisite coursework may be required based on transcript review
