Notice of Accreditation

The Southeastern Oklahoma State University Department of Nursing will seek continuing national accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education in Spring 2026 for our academic program: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, RN-BSN program.

CCNE is officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency and will perform an on-site evaluation of our programs on January 28-30, 2026. As a member of the department’s community of interest, we invite you to submit comments to CCNE at the address below. 

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to comment on the program’s achievements related to accreditation standards. Comments are shared only with the CCNE evaluation team appointed to review our nursing program. Having a continuous quality improvement approach, CCNE will evaluate the quality and effectiveness of our nursing program based on these standards: 

  1. Program Quality: Mission and Governance 
  2. Program Quality: Institutional Commitment and Resources 
  3. Program Quality: Curriculum and Teaching-Learning Practices 
  4. Program Effectiveness: Assessment and Achievement of Program Outcomes
