Psychology

The Psychology degree program provides students with the foundational education they will need to obtain employment with a bachelor’s degree or to pursue graduate education in psychology, counseling, or occupational therapy. Students with a bachelor’s degree in psychology have a broad range of career options available to them, including social services, human resources, marketing, and many more.

An undergraduate major in psychology is not the terminal degree in the field and does not in itself prepare an individual for a career as a psychologist. Students who choose to obtain graduate degrees are able to become licensed professional counselors or psychologists, as well as to work in research or academic settings.

Program Outcomes

Most Psychology students pursue graduate study at both the Master’s and Doctorate levels for careers in clinical, research, and therapeutic psychology. Others find job placements in social services or market research.
