The Serials Department of the H.G. Bennett Memorial Library is responsible for the curation of Southeastern’s various journal, newspaper, and magazine subscriptions. As well, it is responsible for access to Southeastern’s subscribed databases and other academic resources.
Current popular magazines and newspapers are displayed on the first floor across from the Brigance Center. Academic journals, microforms and ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) microfiche are shelved in the basement. The Academic journals are shelved alphabetically by title in the South end of the basement. Microform formats and ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) microfiche are stored in the microform area located in the North end of the basement. A Reader and printer for microforms are available in the basement across from the stationary shelving, in the middle of the room.
A Periodical Holdings List, arranged alphabetically, provides format and location of all the periodicals. Also, to determine if a periodical is being currently received, access the online catalog and search by title (ti: Journal of Reading) or search Journals A-Z.
Journal Titles by Department is a list of current journal subscriptions for each department.
CUFTS allows you to quickly find journal titles in over 245 different electronic collections. It also provides rapid analysis of journal titles.
