Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed on Monday, January 26, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff with ongoing winter weather conditions. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.

Environmental Science

The Environmental Science Minor is designed to directly support other Southeastern programs such as Safety, Chemistry, and Biology

Minor – 21-24 semester hours

A. Safety majors
CHEM 1114 Basic Chemistry I

Choose one of the following electives:
FWS 2224 Fundamentals of Soil Science
CHEM 1214 Basic Chemistry II

B. Chemistry and Computer Science and Physical Science majors
SFTY 1313 Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health
SFTY 4183 Hazardous Materials and Waste Management
One approved course in the Biological Sciences or Occupational Safety and Health (3-4 hours)

Core for options C and D (17 hours)
