English

The English program is designed for students looking for a holistic study in English both writing and literature. From foundational classes in grammar and approaches in English to Medieval Literature, students have the opportunity to explore varying interests within English study. After the completion of core requirements, students must complete 9 credit hours in Literature with an additional 9 credit hours in either Literature or Writing. Additionally, the department provides students with cultural and artistic experiences such as participation in the Sigma Tau Delta honor society, the literary journal Green Eggs & Hamlet, and literary readings open to the university and community.

Program Outcomes

Graduates often pursue further education in graduate programs across the country deepening their studies in literature and writing, or pursing law degrees.
