New freshmen must have a GPA of 2.7 OR an ACT composite of 20 or SAT of 1030.
Original, final high school/secondary transcript(s) and original diploma and/or certificate of completion must be evaluated by a NACES educational credential evaluation service such as TEC, IEE, IERF or ECE with course by course and GPA.
*If you are in the last semester of your final year of secondary/high school, Southeastern requires a signed letter from a school administrator stating that you are expected to graduate on ______ (date) along with your current transcript evaluation. A final and complete evaluation is required after you graduate.
Minimum TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, or iTEP Academic score for admission to the institution. The minimum score requirements are as follows:

*Students with an Internet-based TOEFL score between 48 – 60 or an IELTS score of 5.0 may complete a minimum of 12 weeks in an ESL program approved by the Oklahoma State Regents and meet the English language proficiency requirements.
*You do not need TOEFL or IELTS scores if English is your first language or you graduated from a U.S. high school with 4 years of English.
TOEFL® iBT 2026 Updates
The TOEFL® iBT introduced new updates in 2026, including a new adaptive test format and a new 1–6 scoring scale. Students preparing for the exam can access free ETS-aligned prep guides for Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing through Study.com, the Official TOEFL® Test Prep Partner of ETS. The official TOEFL Test Preparation Course is also available.
Submit an Undergraduate Affidavit of Financial Support along with an original bank statement stamped and signed by a bank official. The date of the bank statement must be within 6 months of your intended start term and show that your sponsor has a liquid US$ balance that covers the cost of your enrollment at Southeastern for the first year of your degree program. All documents must be in English. If not, an English translation must accompany the original.
Copy of the biographic page of your passport showing your name, date of birth, passport number and expiration date. Copy must be clear and legible.
If dependents will accompany you to Southeastern, provide copies of their passport biographic pages, along with marriage and birth certificates, as applicable, to verify your family relationship.
Please read the Statement of Understanding carefully. You must agree to each of these statements before you will be considered for admission.
When the application fee and all documents are received, we will move forward with reviewing your file for admission to the University. Once you are accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter and your initial I-20.
