SE CLOSED JAN 26-28

Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Wednesday, January 28, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff with continuing winter weather conditions. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.

Need personal assistance with developing or proofreading your essays and research papers? The Writing Center has staff on-duty 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, to assist you. We are located below the Center for Student Success.

Student Guidelines for the Writing Center

  • Be present during the tutoring session
  • Schedule an appointment far enough in advance of the paper’s due date to allow for time before the paper is due to make recommended revisions
  • Bring a description of the writing assignment (content and format)
  • Know the name of the instructor and course
  • Type the assignment before the tutoring appointment
  • Online students can email learningcenter@se.edu to request edits or for more information
