The Office of Academic Affairs at Southeastern Oklahoma State University would like to welcome all who seek information through our web page. Southeastern is a regional university located in Durant, Oklahoma. We are a Master’s level degree-granting institution. Major academic schools include the School of Arts and Sciences, the John Massey School of Business, the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences, and the School of Graduate and University Studies. All academic programs at Southeastern are fully accredited by appropriate national and/or other organizations.

Students at Southeastern find an environment that emphasizes excellence in all educational programs. Student learning is highly valued at Southeastern. This is exhibited through teaching, scholarship, and service. What makes Southeastern special is it is a university that cares deeply about the individual student.

About the Vice President for Academic Affairs

The Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the University. Reporting to the President, the VPAA has overall responsibility for the institution’s education programs. The VPAA coordinates and directs the university-wide academic programs and works closely with the deans, department chairs, and directors of the various units to facilitate the University’s mission, and provides the academic vision and leadership that promotes and supports excellence in teaching.
