Some resources in courses may ask that you allow pop-ups in order to access them. While each browser and device will have slightly different steps on how exactly to allow pop-ups, the articles below should get you the most current information:

Office 365 Open Close

Most instructors require assignments to be submitted using Microsoft Word or other Microsoft tools as these load best in the Canvas grade center. As a student at SE, you have FREE access to Microsoft Office 365 (which includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and more)! Go to portal.office.com, login with your SE student email information (ex: jdoe87@student.se.edu), and click the “Install Office” button to get the programs installed on your computer. You can either install the full suite to your computer for offline work or you can use their cloud-based applications to work from the internet. If you would like some visual instructions on the process, the Southeastern IT YouTube channel has a video about the Office 365 Installation process.

Mathematica Open Close

Mathematica is a software that can assist you in visualizing and solving various math and science problems. Watch the video “Mathematica Student Edition” from the Wolfram YouTube channel to learn more about what the product is and how it may be useful to you! Southeastern gives you FREE access to this software, and you can access it on campus or install it on your own computer!

To access the necessary information for you to get started with using Mathematica (including which SE campus labs already have Mathematica installed on their computers), go to IT’s page on Mathematica found on the SE website.

Adobe Creative Cloud Open Close

Adobe Creative Cloud includes various artistic tools that may be relevant to some of your academic or extracurricular needs (Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Premiere, Dreamweaver, etc.) and is offered to SE students at a DISCOUNTED price using Adobe’s “Student and Teachers” discount. Your student.se.edu email address will verify your eligibility. If you are interested in using these tools for school or personal work, take advantage of this discount!
