Our staff strives to help Native American students on campus succeed by providing support with easily accessible and timely assistance. This includes providing resources and support to students, collaborating with tribal communities, and incorporating Native American culture and history.

The Native American Research Internship is a dynamic summer research opportunity for Native American undergraduate junior and senior students who are interested in Health Science research. The internship is located at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is a 10-week, paid summer internship, funded federally by the National Institutes of Health.
Internship Dates: May 27th, 2025 to August 1st, 2025
Application Deadline: January 31st, 2025

Native American Institute wants to support and celebrate your milestone of hard work and dedication with a graduation stole acknowledging your indigenous background, while serving to honor your ancestors and the support system that helped you reach this milestone. Graduate and Undergraduate stoles are available for each Spring, Summer and Fall graduation.
