Teacher Education Council

Function: The functions of the Teacher Education Council shall be approval of Teacher Education curricula, setting and approval of Teacher Education policy, implementation of Teacher Education regulations and standards, and advising on Teacher Education matters. The Council serves as an appeals board for candidates on admission and retention denials. Teacher Education matters will be initially submitted to the Teacher Education Council. The Teacher Education Council will make recommendations as appropriate to the Curriculum Committee, Graduate Council, Faculty Senate, or Academic Council. (APPM 3.6.1)
