Art Studio

In our Art Studio program, you will study art history, design principles, and color theory, as well as techniques in drawing, painting, ceramics, and sculpture. This studio-based program will equip you with the skills and confidence to complete a senior capstone exhibition, begin professional practices, or begin further study in graduate school.

The Art Studio program is housed in the Visual Arts Building where students and faculty work in our ceramics studio, drawing and painting studio, printmaking studio, and sculpture studio. The Art Studio program also operates the Centre Art Gallery, which features annual exhibitions by students, faculty, and visiting artist, and is home to the Hogan Collection of Native American Art.

Program Outcomes

Graduates from Southeastern’s Art Studio program have joined art galleries, cultural centers, and have become entrepreneurs blending their artistic skills with business ventures in the arts. Others have joined graduate programs to pursue Master of Fine Arts degrees.
