Southeastern sets Parents Day for Sept. 20

DURANT, Okla. -- Southeastern Oklahoma State University's Office of Student Life presents "Parents, Family and Friends Day," on Saturday, Sept. 20.

Activities begin with the 3 p.m. registration and ice cream social in President Michael Turner's back yard.

Events move to the front lawn of the Morrison Building with the 3:30 chemistry magic show; followed by the SE marching band at 4 p.m.; the Spirit Squad with entertainment by the Southeastern Cheer and Dance squad at 4:30; and a 5 p.m. appearance of the Chorvettes Stage Works Company and the Sparks Dance Team.

The Savage Storm football team will host Abilene Christian University at 6 p.m. with 100 game tickets discounted to $5 available at registration.

The day also features a giant couch for fun photos, Tharpo the Clown, airbrush tattoos, children's activities, events sponsored by various organizations, and food. There will also be free gifts for parents.
