Press Release Date: 08-09-2009

DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern Oklahoma State University will host Welcome Week August 15-20.

Among a great variety of activities are a few major events, some long-standing traditions, and some exciting new opportunities that students can’t afford to miss.

Freshman Convocation will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, in Montgomery Auditorium in Morrison Hall. Keynote speaker will be Southeastern interim president Larry Minks.

Freshman Convocation is an official welcoming ceremony to Southeastern for all new freshmen and their guests. A free cookout on the front lawn of Morrison Hall is scheduled for 5:30 for all freshmen, their families and guests.
