Seven new True Blue Ambassadors selected at Southeastern

DURANT, Okla. – Seven outstanding Southeastern Oklahoma State University students have been chosen for the second class of True Blue Ambassadors.
These student leaders will represent Southeastern at high school recruitment events, give campus tours to prospective students and assist with Alumni Association events. The Ambassadors will also work with President Larry Minks to host special guests on campus.
"Our Ambassadors are the best at telling the Southeastern story," said Elizabeth Stidham, SE Recruitment Coordinator. "We’ve had a lot of success attracting students to our University because we let our Ambassadors share their Southeastern experiences with prospective students."
Seven new Ambassadors were selected for the 2010-11 school year. They include three from Oklahoma, two from Texas, one from Florida and one from Bogota, Columbia.
The new Ambassadors are Lindsey Ludwick, Fort Worth, Texas, Pre-Med major; Marissa Musgrove, Lone Grove, Okla., Music Education major; Ashleigh Langford, Durant, Elementary Education major; Mathew Morris, Caddo, Okla., Elementary Education major; Chikako Nishina-Martin, Mesquite, Texas, Chemistry, Pre-Pharmacy major; Tiffany Martinez, Bogota, Columbia, Communication major; and Patrick Nelson, Ocala, Fla., Sociology major.
Seven Ambassadors return from the program’s initial year. They are Leslie Chandler, Latta, Okla., Advertising/Public Relations and Occupational Safety double major; Maegan Dugger, Locust Grove, Okla., Elementary Education major; Clinton Harders, Allen, Texas, Communication major; Daniel Hendrickson, Thackerville, Okla., Accounting and Finance double major; Zachary Moran, Prague, Okla., Aviation-Professional Pilot major; Meagan Newman, Coppell, Texas, Theatre Management and Production major; and Hunter Sitz, Celina, Texas, Music Education major.
The True Blue Ambassadors were nominated by SE faculty and staff members. Students participated in an application and interview selection process.
The Southeastern Presidential Partners are providing funding for the program.
