U92 FM staff make a big noise at contest

Six students from Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Media Studies / Broadcasting program in the department of Art, Communication and Theatre placed in several categories at the Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association’s statewide competition. The competition, which has multiple professionally-judged categories spanning both television and radio productions, requires that all work submitted must be from the 2012 school year.
Submitting work in multiple categories, the students placed twice in each category entered, while holding first place in each as well. The categories entered included Commercial, Promotional Spot, Public Service Announcement and Entertainment- Narrative. The winning team includes Broadcasting majors Nate Lamb, Kristi Rothrock, Joel Dameron, Steven Dixon, Aly Dale and Nick Growall. Staff members for SE’s U92FM, the students will be attending the OBEA conference on March 13th in Oklahoma City to accept their awards.
