Our hands-on, conservatory-styled theatre program is designed around four specialty areas.

As a theatre major, you will choose to focus in the area(s) of acting/ directing, technical theatre/design, musical theatre, and/or theatre management. In each area, you will work alongside faculty and other students who are committed to developing their craft and bringing the best live theatre to southeastern Oklahoma and north Texas.

The Southeastern Difference

At the end of your first year of study, most majors will have significant experience in our mainstage productions. We call this the Southeastern Difference. The Southeastern Difference fills the gap between knowing and doing. Experience the Southeastern Difference and be a theatre major at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The more time you have working on a production means the more time you have to build confidence, professional expertise, and your theatrical resume.

Theatre Season

Our mainstage season gives students the opportunity to create performances and production designs that are challenging and innovative. These projects will be guided by faculty, students, and guest artists from across the region. Experience the Southeastern Difference as we bring live theatre to sold-out venues.
