Commencement held Saturday at Southeastern

DURANT, Okla. – Dr. Jonathan Trent addressed graduates at Southeastern Oklahoma State University's Spring Commencement, held Saturday at Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium.
Receiving degrees were students from 22 states and seven countries.
Dr. Trent is an assistant professor of medicine in the Department of Sarcoma Medical Oncology at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
He earned his B.S. in chemistry at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1988 and his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
While at Southeastern, Trent was a Parsons Scholar, active in the Student Government Association, was named to the President's Honor Roll, and received the American Institute of Chemists Outstanding Senior Student Award in 1988.
