Winter Weather Notification

Southeastern Students, Faculty and Staff,

Due to the ongoing forecast of bad weather, freezing temperatures, travel advisories, and rolling power outages in the region, Southeastern Oklahoma State University has extended the campus closure through Friday, February 19. This includes cancelation of face-to-face classes (including remote/hybrid courses with zoom meetings required), closure of all university offices, and cancelation of on-campus activities for the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. At this time on-campus operations and activities will resume on Saturday, February 20. Essential campus operations for those students who live in University housing will remain open, including dining operations. We encourage students who are currently in the residence halls to remain on campus in order to avoid traveling during dangerous road conditions.

This cancelation does not affect fully online courses (designated by a .W at the end of the course name). If you have questions about these or any of your courses, please check Blackboard and your email for announcements.

The University realizes that this is a challenging time for our students, faculty and staff and encourages everyone to be understanding and flexible as we all work through this winter storm event together.

The University will continue to monitor the weather and will make additional announcements as necessary through the University website at www.SE.edu.

Please exercise all precautions to stay safe.
