- Reception honors President Burrage
Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed on Monday, January 26, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff with ongoing winter weather conditions. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.

DURANT, Okla. – Faculty, staff and students honored Southeastern Oklahoma State University president Sean Burrage at a farewell reception Wednesday in the Sidewalk Café. The University and the Faculty Senate presented Burrage with plaques of appreciation. Under his leadership, Southeastern achieved record enrollment, along with financial stability. After five years, Burrage is leaving the University to accept the position of Vice President for Executive Affairs at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Bryon Clark has been named interim president.
