- Southeastern Aviation Visitation Day draws impressive crowd
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.

DURANT, Okla. – More than 100 high school students interested in pursuing careers in aviation attended the Aviation Visitation Day Friday at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Southeastern is home to one of the premier aviation programs in the country, and prepares students for job opportunities in a variety of aviation specialties.
Students took advantage of the opportunity to tour campus as well as the Aviation Sciences Institute, see a flight simulator demonstration, and visit with faculty, staff and alumni.
