- Students to participate in community projects on MLK Day
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.

DURANT, Okla. – Classes will not be held on Monday, January 20, at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in observance of Martin Luther King. Jr. Day. However, the University will be open for business and students will be participating in a variety of campus and community-based service projects.
Among the projects are trash clean-up in the community, visiting with residents in an assisted living facility, working with a local ministry to paint and clean rooms, and University clean-up projects.
