Southeastern Staff Association announces awards

DURANT, Okla. – Four individuals have been recognized with awards from the Southeastern Staff Association in 2020.

Tiffany Tate, coordinator of disability services, was selected as the Storm Rookie of the Year. She has been at the University for two years, and in her current role for a year. She works with students, faculty, and staff to ensure accessibility inside and outside of the classroom.

Receiving the Outstanding Non-Exempt Employee award was Stacey Estep, administrative assistant/accelerated programs admissions specialist. She is in her second year at Southeastern, and currently handles day-to-day operations in the office of academic affairs under the direction of vice president Teresa Golden.

April Lehrling, director of student wellness services, was the recipient of the Outstanding Exempt Employee Award and the Service to Students Award. In her position, she oversees student health, student counseling, intramural programs, and campus fitness facilities.

Alisha Ridenour, CIDT assistant director-instructional designer, was named Southeastern Staff Association Member of the Year. An employee of Southeastern for two-and-a-half years, she provides Blackboard and technical assistance for faculty staff and students. She also provides hands-on assistance to faculty during the course-building process and supports their efforts.
