- No classes held on Martin Luther King Day (Jan. 18) at Southeastern; community service activities planned
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.

DURANT, Okla. – Classes will not be held on Monday, January 18, at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
However, Southeastern students, faculty and staff will be volunteering for a number of community service projects, and a Zoom program on Dr. King will be hosted by student leaders at 11 a.m.
Participants will be preparing and delivering thank you kits to local healthcare workers and teachers, and also work on outdoor projects with Durant Main Street and the Southeastern Equestrian Center.
