- Southeastern participates in blood drive
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
Southeastern students, faculty and staff participated in the blood drive this week.
DURANT, Okla. – Every eight weeks, the Southeastern Oklahoma State University Office of Student Life partners with the Oklahoma Blood Institute to host a blood drive on campus.
The Institute’s bloodmobile was parked on campus Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, with students, faculty, staff, and the general public participating as donors.
Southeastern and East Central University maintain a fun rivalry as to who can provide the most donors over an eight-week period, with a traveling trophy at stake (currently held by Southeastern).
Due to COVID-19, the Oklahoma Blood Institute has taken all precautions to follow CDC and campus guidelines.
