- Shelly Key named Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
Since January of this year, Shelly Key has served as Executive Director of Admissions and Enrollment at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
That role will be expanded with the announcement of her appointment as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management.
As chief enrollment officer, Key’s areas of responsibilities include oversight of admission and recruitment, scholarships, and international student services.
Key previously served as Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Southeastern from 2013-2015.
A graduate of Southeastern and Texas Woman’s University, Key also has served as Executive Director of Admissions and Recruitment at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Prior to returning to Southeastern, she was managing director for Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend.
She also has admissions and recruitment experience at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, Texas Woman’s University, and Our Lady of the Lake University.
