- Southeastern participates In MLK Community Service projects
With continued poor travel conditions and cold temperatures, Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Friday, January 30, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
Southeastern Oklahoma State University was closed Monday, January 17, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
However, the University is continuing its longstanding tradition of community service in honor of the holiday with projects throughout the week.
Students, faculty, and staff volunteers are participating in a number of community service projects, including working at a local food bank; supporting Durant Main Street; campus beautification; and downtown cleanup efforts.
