Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Wednesday, January 28, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff with continuing winter weather conditions. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
Students participating in Camp Chahta are enjoying a number of activities this week as they prepare to start classes next Monday at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
The camp is an early orientation experience for Choctaw students through a partnership with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
Among the activities were a Family Night, tour of the Choctaw Cultural Center, tour of the Semple Family Museum, sessions with professors, and an overview of programs offered to students.
