- Southeastern preps for beginning of fall semester on Aug. 22
Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed through Wednesday, January 28, in the interest of health and safety of students, faculty, and staff with continuing winter weather conditions. Essential services will be provided to residential students on campus, but other academic and business functions will be closed. Online and remote learning classes will proceed as scheduled. This closure applies to the Durant and McCurtain County campuses. Other satellite facilities will follow local guidance.
It’s beginning to look a lot like school is in session at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
Although fall classes don’t officially start until Aug. 22, a great deal of activity is already underway on campus, and students will be moving into the residence halls next week. Other activities scheduled in preparation for the beginning of classes include: Aug. 17 — Faculty Symposium, New faculty orientation; Aug. 18 — Faculty-Staff General meeting; Aug. 19-20 – Camp SE orientation; Aug. 20 – Freshman Convocation.
SE’s volleyball and football teams are in the midst of fall camp workouts as their opening contests near on Aug. 26 and September 1.
