Opera Southeastern to present “Suor Angelica” on Oct. 12

Opera Southeastern will be performing “Suor Angelica” on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Montgomery Auditorium.

“Suor Angelica’’ is a one-act opera by Giacomo Puccini to an original Italian libretto by Giovacchino Forzan,  and  features the tragic tales of loss and repentance.  The opera follows the life of sisters and Angelica in a convent.

Southeastern student cast members are Lauren Manon, Deja Godwin, Haylie Kreitz, Angela Perry, Eden Davis, Rachel Guevara, Brenna Tuttle, Kiersten Oakes, Bobbi Wright, Cinthia Phillips, Binion Stephenson, Joseph Bowen, Kameron Clinton, Zachary Lewis, and Diego Cruz Perez.

Dr. Stella Yoon is artistic director, Dr. Jeremy Blackwood is conductor, and Dr. Kihwa Nam is stage director.

The performance is free and open to the public.
